The CMICA International Cricket Development program was created to provide the most professional and results-based coaching available anywhere in the world to aspiring players. You will be exposed to training by a variety of cricket coaches, all of which have first-class and/or international experience.
Your development will be rapid, with each training session a mix of technical analysis, skills acquisition, strength and conditioning, game awareness and mental ‘toughness’ development. Add to this the opportunity (when schedules allow) to meet current T20 Big Bash, Sheffield Shield and Australian players and your exposure to the best cricket coaching available anywhere in the world is complete. This 12-week program is based at Alan Border Field in Brisbane.
For international players the opportunity is to come to Australia for coaching and match experience. Please note that CMICA can arrange the following, however it is not a part of the total cost.
- Club cricket, can play all year round
- Gym membership
- Strength & conditioning program
- Nutrition program
This 12-week program, based at Alan Border Field in Brisbane, has been developed in line with the senior program conducted at the National Cricket Centre for Cricket Australia. Alan Border Field is the home of Queensland Cricket and the newly opened $29 million Australian National Cricket Centre. The National Cricket Centre includes professional quality outdoor wickets and turf nets, with the indoor training centre offering a variety of simulated match surfaces to help players hone their skills on pace and spin-friendly wickets.
The program encompasses all facets of the game:
- Bowling — pace & spin
- Fielding & wicket-keeping
- Sports psychology
- Physical preparation
Players’ development is monitored by CMICA coaches and the training incorporates goal setting, pre-session planning and post-session reviews. CMICA uses individual player plans (IPP), training diaries, video analysis and cricket team placements to ensure our students succeed.
